According to Wikipedia, community is a group of interacting people, possibly living in close proximity, and often refers to a group that shares some common values, and is attributed with social cohesion within a shared geographical location, generally in social units larger than a household. This pretty much means that a community is a group of people who gather together and feel the same way about certain things. A community can be the people living in the area of a local high school, or huge fans of a certain sports team, or people coming together for a peaceful protest. Going to a community event is a great way to meet new people who have the same interests as you.
